Terminology
A reference guide to the terms used throughout the Zeqenimorux website and service documentation. These definitions describe how each term is used within the context of the Zeqenimorux information-organisation service specifically.
Information set
The body of structured information that has been accepted into the Zeqenimorux system and is available for review. The information set is not static; its composition may change as new records are added or existing records are updated.
Record
An individual unit of information within the information set. Each record is assigned to a category and is associated with a defined set of attributes. Records are the primary objects that users encounter when reviewing information through the service interface.
Category
A grouping of records that share one or more common attributes. Categories are defined by the service's classification framework. Each category has a summary view and contains a variable number of individual records depending on the information set.
Classification
The process by which records are assigned to categories and given attribute labels. Classification is applied when information enters the system. It is a structural process that determines how a record appears within the interface, not an editorial judgement about the record's content.
Summary view
A presentation of a category that shows its headline attributes, the number of records it contains, and any distinguishing features. The summary view is the entry point for exploring a category. Users move from the summary view to individual records by selecting a specific item.
Detail view
A presentation of an individual record that shows all attributes, annotation notes, and links to related records. The detail view is the most granular level of information available through the service interface.
Annotation
A contextual note attached to a record by a member of the Zeqenimorux service team. Annotations are intended to clarify how a record was interpreted at the time of its classification. They are read-only for users and do not alter the content of the underlying record.
Access request
A formal submission made through the enquiry form by a user who wishes to review information held within the Zeqenimorux information set. An access request is assessed by the support team before access is either confirmed or declined.
Review session
The period during which a user has confirmed access to the Zeqenimorux interface and is actively reviewing records within the information set. A review session begins when access is confirmed and continues until the user concludes their review or their access arrangement ends.
Support team
The team at Zeqenimorux Pty Ltd responsible for reviewing access requests, responding to enquiries, attaching annotations to records, and providing ongoing assistance to users who have active review sessions.
Enquiry
A message submitted to the Zeqenimorux support team through the enquiry form. An enquiry may be a question about the service, a request for clarification, or a formal access request. All enquiries are reviewed individually by the support team.
Attribute
A labelled property of a record. Attributes describe characteristics of the record that are relevant to its classification and to how a user will interpret it. Each record type has a defined set of attributes that are populated when the record is classified.
